Denise Rosenthal (born November 8, 1990) is a Chilean actress, singer, songwriter, and model who became famous as one of the young protagonists in the Chilean television series Amango, which aired on Canal 13 during 2007 and 2008. In the show's two seasons, Rosenthal portrayed María Fernanda "Feña" McGellar, which popularity subsequently led her to obtain the starring role in Amango's spin-off, El Blog de la Feña ("Feña's Blog").
In Amango, Rosenthal participated also as one of the members of the homonymous band, formed by the series' main young characters, which successfully released three albums with the music used in the show. She later released a solo album, with the songs serving as soundtrack of her show. The album El Blog de la Feña was also a hit, with high sales and videos for the album's cuts in heavy rotation in important music networks such as MTV Latin America.

In 2006, Denise began her television career as a member of the successful Corporation of Television of the Catholic Pontificia Universidad of Chile series, vAmango, playing "Maria Fernanda Mc Gellar" better known as "Feña". The series was finally released on June 16, 2007 at 22:00 hrs. and the last episode of the first season was shown on September 1, 2007 in the same timeslot. Other actor in the same series were: Augusto Schuster, Magdalena Müller, Philip Rojas, Samir Ubilla and Carolina Vargas. Denise acquired great popularity due to her role, being much mimmicked by young fans(children), especially her trademark lines, spoken in an instantlky recognizable manner, such as: "Osea Hello!...", "Que Ondi? ".[1]
Her character of "Maria Fernanda Mc Gellar" better known as "Feña" is a teenager from Chile's upper class, rather conceited and egocentric, a fanatic of the accessories, makeup, fashion and pop music. Her role is very similar and often compared with that of Sharpay Evans in High School Musical personified by Ashley Tisdale; several times in the series Amango "Feña" claimed to be a fan of this character.[2]
Amango's second season began recording at the end of 2007 and started screening on Friday, March 28, 2008 at 22:00 hrs, and on Friday, June 20, 2008, the last episode was shown. Denise takes part in Amango's film, the storyline of which reveals the band's experience during their national tour and the way in which each member faces the complexity of sudden fame in cinema and TV. Amango: The Tour directed by Agosin films features the direction of the out-standing cienasta Shai Agosin ("El Brindis"), premiered March 26, 2008 in Santiago cinemas.
On 2008 marked the takeoff of Denise's career, after the success of her character "Feña" in Amango, Canal 13 decided to realize a spin-off, the series El Blog de la Feña: here Denise with her character, "Feña" is the principal character, the whole plot revolving around her. The format of the program is interactive since the public decides what form the story will take, choosing their preferred part by text message. The project released on June 16, 2008 turned out to be a great success and is shown on Canal 13 in 2 timeslots.[3]

Denise took part in the Amango and Amango 2 soundtracks called: Amango: El Sueño se Hizo Realidad and Amango: Esto No Es Un Juego, besides on November 23, 2007 out to stores to the sale another album of Christmas album called Amango: Villancicos. She also made it to the top of the charts with the singles "Desitno" in 2007 and "Digan Lo Que Digan", the latter managed to be located in the position number 9 in the Top 100 Chile. In February 2008 Denise close to the rest of Amango's index they took part in the Viña del Mar International Song Festival 2008 they winning the respect of the public and a torch of silver.
In June 2008 was released her first solo single "No Quiero Escuchar Tu Voz", as part of the promotion for her TV series El Blog de la Feña, for which had already been released another single, "Si Tú Me Quieres". The official music video of "No Quiero Escuchar Tu Voz" was released exclusively in MTV, and the song eventually reached number 8 in Top 100 Chile; both singles were part of the album that was released to promote El Blog de la Feña, which was finally available for sale in Chile on August 9, 2008. The second single off the album and not for promotion of the series is "Esperame" and the music video was released in Canal 13 right before the airing of one of the chapters of 'El Blog De La Feña'. On August 14, 2008, Rosenthal made her first in-store appearance at Feria Del Disco, to promote her then-just released album, where she performed 4 tracks off the record and signed autographs for the over 700 fans who attended.[4] At the end of 2010, Denise completed her part for Corazon Rebelde's band, CRZ, and began working on her first solo album as herself. The untitled album with be released sometime in 2011 and will be completely in English (a first for Rosenthal) This album will include her first single, "Men", a cover of Gladys Knight's 1991 single.
